As far back as the 5th grade you could catch DJ Nick Nice
rockin’ crowds like no other, but back then it was
with the pen and pad and today it’s with the turntables.
His style on the tables is nothing short of exceptional,
very interactive DJ Nick Nice loves to get everybody in
the club involved in the music, he also has an uncanny ability
to recognize the needs of the crowd and convey them through
the speakers, onto the dance floor, all while catering heavily
towards the ladies whom he states makes the party. “My
style is all about the ladies, if you get the ladies to
the dance floor the guys will follow, I’m a ladies
man by trade, you gotta remember I’m the flyest DJ
you can find!”
DJ Nick Nice has come a long way
in a short period of time. After very short time, getting
his first pair of turntables in January 2005, Nick Nice
got started doing parties on the campus of The Ohio State
University with his fraternity Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity
Inc. In order to gain respect amongst his peers he started
out lugging his crates of vinyl records around as opposed
to learning the trade digitally. “I would do house
parties, some club stuff and of course practice my ass off
at home as much as I could, says Nice. “O one of my
biggest breaks thus far was when I started working for Power
107.5 in Columbus, Ohio as an on air personality.”
While at Power 107.5, I was able to hone
my skills as a personality and learn the basics of production
by getting on the inside of the music industry. I also obtained
free vinyl from my colleague DJ D Rock. DJ D Rock would
float me all the free vinyl I could stand…”
After mastering the fundamentals of DJ’ing, Nick Nice
began to form a style and a swagger of his own. However,
if you ask him what he does as a DJ to really get the party
started he will simply say, “I play good songs.”
Nick Nice shows his personal creativity by mixing today’s
hottest tracks and surprising music lovers with unforgettable
classics, taking you through a journey of musical genres
including Hip-Hop, R&B, Old School R&B, Pop, Reggae,
Reggae ton, Gospel, Funk, Soul, Salsa, 80’s, and 90’s.
A dedication to making “you” have a good time
has led DJ Nick Nice to be a crowd favorite across the country,
which is why you may hear his parties be described as more
of an experience than a party… it’s The Nick

“I do my best to connect the party people to the particular
song I am playing, if there is a song you really like you
can remember exactly how that song made you feel when you
first realized you liked it, I want the music to touch you
emotionally as well as musically,” says Nice..”
His style is heavily influenced by the
guys I came up listening to like DJ Cowboy, Kid Capri, DJ
Craig G, DJ D Rock, DJ D Boogie, B Nunn, DJ Mr. King, DJ
Dru, Steph Floss, Krate Digga, and O Sharp. “All these
guys influenced my style in one way or another; I have a
lot of respect for them,” says Nice. .” With
an infectious DJ’ing style that cannot be denied,
a successful series of mix tapes, and enough energy to hold
down the hypest of crowds, it is only a matter of time before
